2018 Commonwealth games: Srilanka to host
Sri Lanka and Australia have been selected as the host nations for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. The Tharunyata Hetak Organisation made a request from the Commonwealth Games Federation to select Sri Lanka as a host of the tournament. Chairman of the Organisation Namal Rajapaksa says the 2018 Commonwealth Games will be held at the Hambantota international sports complex.

Serving of Beef at Commonwealth Games: BJP slams
The Delhi Assembly witnessed a huge uproar over the proposed serving of beef during the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2010. The BJP slammed Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit over the issue.
When BJP was in power in Delhi, the Delhi Assembly had passed a law in 1994, prohibiting storage and sale of beef in the capital.

Commonwealth Games, Delhi 2010: England to send largest contengent
England will send a full team to the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, its Chef de Mission for Delhi 2010 Mr. Craig Hunter has said after his recent visit to the Indian capital. And, Australian Commonwealth Games Association Chief Executive Mr. Perry Crosswhite has said his team was even more bullish on taking part in Delhi than it has been before.
